Dr. Ruma Bhargava is the Global Mental Health Lead at the World Economic Forum, Geneva, and Founder of Samarpann, an NGO improving access to clean water, menstrual hygiene, and solar electrification for 40,000+ rural children. A recipient of the British Council’s Outstanding Achievers Honour, she was also named by the Times Group among 5 Indians for extraordinary contributions to healthcare.
Director, EUREGHA European Regional-Local Health Authorities
Michele is Director at EUREGHA, the European network for Regional and Local Health Authorities. As Director, he leads the work of the association’s secretariat, covering advocacy, knowledge exchange and partnerships, communication and projects. Prior to EUREGHA, Michele worked at the European Health Management Association at the European Patients’ Forum, and at DIGITALEUROPE. Throughout his career, Michele worked on several strategic EU-level projects including TO-REACH, IN-4-AHA and BeWell.

Jahanara is currently Lead, for Health and Healthcare within the World Economic Forum, where she focuses on Nutrition and Workforce health and well-being. Prior to joining the Forum, she worked at GE Capital and GE Healthcare, British International Investment and Massachusetts General Hospital, across business strategy, corporate finance and investment teams. Jahanara is a Kenyan-Canadian and holds a masters degree from MIT and an undergraduate degree from Western University.
Public Health Innovation Lead, WHO Europe
Dr Chibi leads Public Health Innovation at WHO Europe. He is a former Regional Adviser for Science and Innovation at WHO Africa. During COVID-19, he led crucial regional innovation initiatives that significantly contributed to the response. With over 20 years in Research, Development, and Innovation management, including at WHO Geneva, Dr. Chibi holds a PhD in Medical Biosciences and a Swiss Executive MBA in Innovation Management.
Technical Officer, WHO
Allison Ekberg is Technical Officer, Integrated Management and Service Delivery for NCDs in the WHO Regional Office for Europe. She has more than two decades of experience in policy, advocacy, health system strengthening, and civil society engagement throughout the European region, the Americas and Africa. She has a BSFS from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and an MPH in Global Health from the University of Washington.
