Henrik Ullum is the CEO of Statens Serum Institut (SSI) since December 2020. As CEO, Ullum has the overall responsibility of the day-to-day running of SSI and has advised the Danish government during the COVID19 pandemic. Henrik Ullum holds a medical degree and a PhD from the University of Copenhagen and has extensive experience from both the healthcare and research worlds. He has previously worked as a professor at the University of Copenhagen and senior physician at the specialised hospital, Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, where he, prior to joining SSI, had responsibility for all virological testing, biobank development and donor medicine. Dr. Ullum has broad research experience with infections, immunology, epidemiology and genetics.
