Karin Hamberg is the SVP, Head of Global Patient Safety and Chief Medical Officer at Lundbeck. Karin brings more than 30 years of Drug Development experience across most areas of R&D from Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs and Value Evidence to Patient Safety. Karin is a licensed physician with a strong cross-functional focus and a passion for international relations and cultural diversity as a source of innovation in drug development and now in global patient safety. Karin also worked in the US for 2 years for a previous company and in addition to her Lundbeck role, holds various Board positions, including a Board seat at the LEO Foundation, which has a similar history of ownership structure as the Lundbeck Foundation. She is also the Consortium Chair of a Danish Government initiative, Lighthouse Life Science, supporting public-private partnership to improve mental health.
