Dr. Ajay Sachan is Deputy Drugs Controller at the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

He holds an M.Pharm. and a PhD in Pharmacy and specializes in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Dr. Sachan brings more than 30 years of experience across the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory affairs, including approximately 25 years working within pharmaceutical regulation.

Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in drug regulation, pharmaceutical policy, and regulatory governance. He is also actively engaged in professional organizations within the pharmaceutical and drug regulatory community in India.

His professional interests focus on pharmaceutical regulation, drug safety, regulatory science, and strengthening frameworks that support the quality and safety of medicines.
