PD Dr. med. Isabella Schneider is Head of the Innovation Office at the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM), where she supports innovators through early regulatory guidance and promotes collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem at both national and European level.

She is a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, researcher, and Associate Professor at Heidelberg University.

Prior to joining BfArM, Isabella worked as a senior physician at the Department of General Psychiatry at Heidelberg University Hospital. Throughout her career, she has combined clinical practice, research, and healthcare innovation, with a particular focus on digital health and interdisciplinary collaboration.

In her current role, Isabella works to identify emerging developments in healthcare, connect stakeholders across sectors, and support the translation of innovative ideas into sustainable healthcare solutions.
