Kyung Taek Bae is Director General for Ageing Society Policy at the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy in the Republic of Korea.

He has held several senior leadership positions within the Korean government, including Director General for Welfare Policy and Director General for Health Policy at the Ministry of Health and Welfare. His experience also includes serving as Consul General at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan and holding leadership roles at the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), where he was responsible for planning, coordination, and infectious disease emergency response.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bae has contributed to the development and implementation of national health and welfare policies, with extensive experience in public health governance, healthcare policy, and population strategy.

In his current role, he leads policy initiatives addressing the challenges and opportunities of an ageing society, including long-term care, extended workforce participation, and the development of age-tech solutions.
