Dr. Dinh Hung Nguyen is Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, Vietnam, where he oversees healthcare services, health insurance, and pharmaceutical governance.

He has more than a decade of senior leadership experience in healthcare, including over five years as Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health and six years as Director of Hanoi Saint Paul General Hospital, an 800-bed tertiary hospital.

His expertise spans health system governance, hospital management, healthcare financing, integrated care, primary healthcare, and public health policy.

In his current role, Dr. Hung helps lead one of Vietnam’s largest and most complex urban healthcare systems, serving more than eight million citizens through a broad network of public and private hospitals, primary healthcare facilities, preventive health institutions, and emergency medical services.

He is leading strategic initiatives to modernize Hanoi’s healthcare system through integrated care, population health management, digital health, artificial intelligence, and lifelong electronic health records, with the aim of improving health outcomes and strengthening the long-term sustainability of healthcare services.
