Annemarie Munk Riis is the CEO of Innovation District Copenhagen. She holds a degree in economics from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD from Copenhagen Business School.

Prior to joining Innovation District Copenhagen, Annemarie served as CEO of Green Building Council Denmark. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Innovation Fund Denmark and the City of Copenhagen, as well as strategic positions at the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs.

In addition, she brings entrepreneurial experience as co-founder of IRIS Group and has extensive experience working at the intersection of research, business, and public policy.

As CEO, Annemarie is responsible for driving the development of Innovation District Copenhagen and strengthening its innovation ecosystem, bringing together researchers, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and industry partners to accelerate innovation and growth.

Annemarie will speak prior to the various tours to the different workshops on the afternoon of November 18 in Innovation District Copenhagen.
