Markus Kede is Senior Vice President and Chief AI Officer at H. Lundbeck A/S, where he serves on the Executive Leadership Team and leads the company’s global AI strategy.

He holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Strategy from Lund University, Sweden.

Markus brings more than 15 years of international leadership experience across finance, strategy, and commercial management in highly regulated industries.

Prior to becoming Chief AI Officer in 2026, he served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Planning for Lundbeck US, where he was responsible for strategic and financial performance and chaired the US Digital & AI Strategy Committee.

In his current role, Markus leads the development and implementation of artificial intelligence initiatives across the organization, working to accelerate innovation and strengthen the use of advanced technologies across research, commercial operations, and corporate functions. He also heads Lundbeck’s Digital & AI Committee, which coordinates AI initiatives across the company.
