Peder Søgaard is Director of DI Life Science, where he leads the industry association representing Denmark’s life science companies.

He holds an MSc in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen.

Prior to becoming Director of DI Life Science, Peder held senior public affairs positions at LEO Pharma and Danske Bank. He has spent more than a decade at the Confederation of Danish Industry, working with European affairs, digital policy, and business advocacy.

In his current role, Peder works to strengthen the conditions for innovation, research, manufacturing, and investment across Denmark’s life science sector. He is a recognized voice on healthcare policy, life science competitiveness, and the role of innovation in improving patient outcomes.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Peder serves on the Board of BETA.Health, Denmark’s national platform for hospital-based innovation, and contributes to several national partnerships and advisory forums focused on healthcare, health data, and life sciences.
