Tarek Samad is Senior Vice President and Head of Global Research and Corporate Patents at Lundbeck.

He holds a PhD and brings more than two decades of experience from academia, biotechnology, and the pharmaceutical industry in the Boston area, leading therapeutic programs into the clinic.

Prior to joining Lundbeck, Dr. Samad served as Chief Scientific Officer at Immunitas Therapeutics and as Head of Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Research at Sanofi, where he oversaw a portfolio spanning early discovery to Phase 2 clinical development.

Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles in neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation research at Pfizer.

His work has focused on advancing innovative therapies for neurological and immune-mediated diseases, with extensive experience in translational research and drug development.
