Ida Auken was appointed Minister for Health and Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs of Denmark in June 2026.

She holds a Master’s degree in Theology from the University of Copenhagen and has further completed executive education programs in leadership, public policy, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, including courses at Harvard Kennedy School, Oxford Saïd Business School and Nanjiang Technical University.

Ida has been a member of the Danish Parliament since 2007 and has held a number of ministerial and parliamentary leadership positions throughout her political career. She previously served as Minister for the Environment and has led parliamentary work on issues including climate, energy, agriculture, democracy, and green transition.

Ida Auken will deliver the opening remarks at Tour de Health 2026 on November 18.
